Ses Illetes and Beso Beach, Formentera

Illetes Beach is one of the most famous of Formentera. The name comes from the small islands that are in front . At north, there is the largest and most popular: S’Espalmador. It can be reached by road from es Pujols (PM-820-2).

The bar Beso Beach is at Cavall d’en Borràs beach, there is always good atmosphere and the sunsets are magnificent. You can get there easily on foot from la Savina .

Restaurant Can Forn, Formentera

Carn Forn is a traditional restaurant from the island of Formentera. A must if you want to know the local cuisine of this island of Pityusic Islands. The menu is varied, the quality of the food is very good and the price is good.

It is located in the village of Sant Ferran or San Fernando de Ses Roques, at the main street: carrer Major núm. 39 (letter F on the map).

Specialities: squid in ink sauce (“calamars amb tinta“, photo 2), peasant salad (“amanida pagesa” photo 3) or pigeon with cabbage (“coloms amb col“). Desserts flaó (photo 6) or coca (photo 5).

[MAP] Best of Formentera

Formentera is the ideal place for the holidays. The best is to rent a scooter. You can get around by motorbike, rent a zodiac, spend a day at the sea, enjoy the beaches, bars and restaurants on the island. The only way to get to Formentera is by ferry from Ibiza and during the summer there are some connections from Dénia (Alicante province).

In the port of La Savina, you can rent boats or zodiacs, without a license and you can arrive to Babaria’s cape and s’Espalmador island. “Obligatory” stop for anchoring in Cala Saona (7), ses Illetes (1) and s’Espalmador (3).

In both San Francisco / Sant Francesc de Formentera and San Fernando / Sant Ferran de ses Roques, there are restaurants and small and beautiful churches: San Francisco Javier and San Fernando (Sant Francesc Xavier and Sant Ferran). Also of interest are Babaria lighthouse and the lighthouse of la Mola.
